Mark A Korting Community enrichment award

The Mark A. Korting REALTOR® Community Enrichment Award is presented in recognition of select REALTORS® who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and leadership in service to their community. This prestigious honor reflects the spirit of Mark Allan Korting, who demonstrated unparalleled commitment to both the real estate industry and the communities he served. Recipients of this award embody Mark’s values by going above and beyond in their efforts to uplift their communities through selfless leadership and tireless dedication.

Mark Korting’s career in Alaska real estate began in 1974 and spanned over four decades, during which he made a profound impact not only in residential and commercial real estate but also by helping to introduce and develop RE/MAX in Alaska. Mark was not only a leader in business but also a guiding force in his community. From serving as the President of both the Anchorage Board of REALTORS® and the Alaska REALTORS®, to his involvement in numerous charitable causes, Mark’s contributions were significant and lasting.

This award reflects Mark's legacy of service, not just within the professional realm but also through his involvement with organizations like the Children’s Miracle Network, the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, Anchorage Concert Association, and the Anchorage Downtown Rotary. Mark’s spirit of giving was infectious—he was known as the "Voice of Reason - Voice of Fun," embodying a balance of wisdom, warmth, and an ability to bring people together for a common good. Whether it was through his work as an auctioneer raising funds for charity or his participation on numerous boards that shaped the Anchorage community, Mark's contributions always sought to enrich the lives of others.

Recipients of this award follow in Mark's footsteps by not only excelling in real estate but also using their platform to serve their community. They are leaders who make a difference, just as Mark did, through their time, talents, and resources. The Mark A. Korting REALTOR® Community Enrichment Award serves as a reminder of the lasting impact that one dedicated individual can have, and it encourages others to continue this tradition of service in their own careers and lives.
